“Give us grace, O Lord, to answer readily the call of our Savior Jesus Christ and proclaim to all people the Good News of his salvation, that we and the whole world may perceive the glory of his marvelous works; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.”
Yesterday during the sermon I recalled a conversation I had with Joshua a while ago about how he couldn’t imagine or conceptualize any greater possible show of love than the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
That the God of the universe would humble Himself to be a child, then humble Himself to the cross for the sake of those who hated Him, then rise again to raise up those same people to new life. I thought about it again yesterday and again I literally can’t make up what possibly could be more loving.
This is quite Good News. I want to perceive how good and marvelous this truly is.
